Never buy significant pieces of machinery from someone you know. When it all goes wrong - say, the second-hand lawnmower breaks down the first time you use it - the relationship becomes decidedly awkward.

Middle-aged man who has a nasty tendency to live in his own inner world instead of the real one. I once scored the highest possible score on the 'thought' scale of a personality test - that should give you some idea. Hopes that someone out there might enjoy occasional glimpses of what lies beneath the surface.

So is your grass all wild and tall now, or did you figure out a Plan B? Inquiring minds want to know. ;)
Wild and tall - although weedkiller had been applied the weekend before, meaning that the nasty broadleaf stuff hasn't run riot like last time.
The mower will be back this weekend, but my opportunity to use it will be limited!
